The Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival Falcon Competitions 2018

In line with its role in supporting the march of heritage sports, promoting the national identity, preserving the achievements of the past and promoting the same among the present community, Abu Dhabi Falconers’ Club will participates in The Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival 2018. ADFC seeks to participate in the various heritage events and occasions in order to support the falconry season and enhance the level of interaction and competition among the falconers in the aim of developing the falconry sport and achieving the falconers’ ambitions to participate and enrich the heritage of this ancestral sport.

Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival is considered a priority on the agenda of ADFC for season 2018-2019, as it is dear to everyone for bearing the name of the UAE founder, late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in addition to its leading role in promoting the UAE heritage among its people.

ADFC will participate in the competitions during the period from 10-15 December 2018 in Al Falah field in Abu Dhabi. The competitions will be divided in 8 rounds for Farkh Category, 4 of them for the rounds of the Sheikhs and 4 rounds for the General Public

 

 


Al Dhafra Festival Falconry Competitions 2018

Abu Dhabi Falconers Club Will organize  the 6th  year the Al Dhafra Heritage Festival Falcon Competitions on 19-22 December 2018 in Madinat Zayed, the Western Region.

Six rounds was organized for telwah competitions; Four rounds for Farkh and two rounds

for Jirnas, awarding 6 cars for the champions of those rounds,

and 330 thousands AED in cash for the total rounds.


The President Cup Falcon Competitions 2018/2019

The President Cup Falcon Competitions is organized for the Sixth  season from 16 to 27 January 2019, in line with the support and patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God protect him, and the wise guidance of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s representative in the Western Union, President of Emirates Falconers’ Club, and under the supervision of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council. This competition is organized by Abu Dhabi Falconers’ Club in the aim of preserving the achievements of past, supporting the UAE heritage and ancestral sports in line with its mission and values.

The President Cup Falcon Competitions, in its sixth season, continuing applying  Rounds for the Hur and Shaheen (ranch breed) categories will be held, with 8 rounds for the Hur and Shaheen (Ranch Breed) , 4 Rounds for the participants Of GCC Nationals (2 Rounds for Hur (1 Round Farkh+1 Round Jirnas ), 2 Rounds of Shaheen (1 Round Farkh+1 Round Jirnas) ), as well as for the Open Category (All Other Nationalities ) of 4 rounds open to all participants except the above category , (2 Rounds for Hur (1 Round Farkh+1 Round Jirnas)  , 2 Rounds of Shaheen (1 Round Farkh+1 Round Jirnas)

is an extension of the success made in the previous seasons, the great participation of the falconers and the excellence achieved in the different rounds The season will feature new steps taken by Abu Dhabi Falconers’ Club in order to enrich the competitions and present a distinguished season.

The President Cup Falcon Competitions will feature Two final competitions (Telwah and Training of falcons with wireless aircrafts), in addition to the final rounds of the Soil falcons, ranch breed ( Hur and Shaheen), Telwah Cup and Golden Telwah Cup. Abu Dhabi Falconers’ Club will continue to implement its global initiative of the smart electronic ring which goes around the falcon’s leg, which was launched and adopted in the previous seasons, this step comes within the ADFC’s keenness to apply the latest technologies and use the best tools in order to promote the falconry so that it keeps pace with the technological progress. Furthermore, the Fifth season will also feature the Falconer of the Season award based on the points he gains and his performance in the final competitions and for all categories ( Sheikh, Public Owners and Public Open).
